For years I used Melissa officinalis, Calendula ointment externally to sooth minor cuts and scratches. It was my go to remedy, always in my medicine cabinet (and still is). The kids in our family learned to come to Aunt Wendy to make their booboos go away.

Why? Because Calendula heals tears and cuts gently and powerfully.
Then last year, in Herbal Pharmacy class I learned when taken internally Melissa officinalis can address tears in the gut, much as it does externally. We made herbal truffles in class, and I added Calendula to my truffle mixture, and I immediately felt relief--in my gut!
Since, I make Calendula tea regularly and the healing of my gut began in earnest.
